Epidemiological Investigation On Physical Constitution Of Acne Patients In Kunming Area

Object:To classify the characteristics of TCM constitution distribution of acne patients in Kunming region, to explore the correlation between TCM constitution and zheng of acne patients, and to provide evidence for clinical treatment and prevention of acne patients in Kunming region.Methods:Collected 279 cases of acne patients during 1st December 2014 to 31 th January2016 to the Yunnan Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine, the first and the second affiliated hospital of Kunming Medical University. The questionnaire under the guidance of researchers, including the name, sex, age, residence time,sleep and eating habits of patients, TCM constitution questionnaire, Checklist of TCM zheng and other informations. According to the checklist of TCM zheng and TCM constitution questionnaire to judge the patient’s TCM zheng and constitution types.We analyzed all the data with SPSS 22.0 statistical software.Analyze the general situation of acne patients in Kunming region,the distribution of TCM constitution types and TCM zheng,and the correlation between the zheng and the constitution.Results:1.Female post-adolescent acne patients(37.3%) was higher than male post-adolescent acne patients(21.7%), The difference between the two groups is significant(P=0.042 < 0.05). Gender differences in the lesions of patients with acne severity consisting of difference(P < 0.01). Male patients with acne for grade III and IV degree of severe acne, male acne patients with lesion severity level IV(41.3%)proportion far outweigh(9.4%) women. The severity of skin lesions in different age groups was not statistically significant(P=0.944 > 0.05).2.Acne patients have majority(81%) of the biases constitution, the Balanced Constitution is less(19%); a single constitution accounted for 60.93%, and the accompany constitution the proportion of 39.07%. For accompany constitution, the survey only select the highest score of the constitution. There is different in the number of acne patients with different the constitution(P=0.000<0.01). The specific distribution: Damp-heat constitution in 99 cases(35.5%), Balanced constitution of the 53 cases(19%),Yin-deficient constitution in 44 cases(15.8%),Yang-deficient constitution in 35 cases(12.5%), Stagnant Qi constitution in 18 cases(6.5%),Phlegm-dampness constitution matter of 8 cases(2.9%), Inherited special constitution in 6 cases(2.2%), Stagnant Blood in 4 cases(1.4%). The difference of TCM constitution in different sex acne patients is not different(P=0.328 > 0.05).The difference of TCM constitution of acne patients in different age groups is not different(P=0.328 > 0.05).There is different in the different types of TCM constitution of the different residence time in Kunming(P=0.008 < 0.05),living more than 5 years of patients with a large proportion of Yin-deficient constitution. There is significant difference between the types of TCM constitution of acne patients who stay up late and don’t stay up late(P=0.029 < 0.05),stay up late in the proportion of acne patients with biased physical is higher than those who do not stay up late. No statistically significant difference between eat spicy food and don’t eat spicy food in TCM Constitution Types(P=0.226 > 0.05). There is not different between the those who had a dessert or not in TCM constitution(P=0.200 > 0.05).There is different between the types of TCM constitution of the persons who are addicted to greasy food and those who do not eat greasy food(P=0.023 < 0.05), addicted to eating greasy food with damp heat acne patients proportion(44.6%) are higher than those who did not eat greasy food proportion.The difference from eating fried, grilled food and non-foodaholic is different in TCM constitution(P=0.007 < 0.05). Eat fried, grilled food acne patients with Yin-deficient constitution proportion(22.6%) is higher than that of non-foodaholic. TCM constitution of acne patients with different skin lesion severity are different(P=0.000 < 0.05). The severity of skin lesions is I degrees of mild patients, the proportion of Balanced constitution is large(71.4%), followed by Damp-heat constitution(14.3%) and yin-deficient constitution(14.3%),and the constitution is simple; the severity of skin lesions is II degree, III degree, IV degree of moderate and severe cases, the proportion of Damp-heat constitution is high, the constitution is relatively complex.3.There is different in the number of acne patients with different TCM zheng(P=0.000<0.01). The distribution of TCM zheng : damp heat zheng(54.1%), Chong Ren disorder zheng(21.9%), wind heat zheng(17.2%), blood stasis and phlegm coagulation zheng(6.8%). There is different in TCM constitution types of acne patients with different TCM zheng(P=0.000 < 0.05). In the wind heat zheng, the proportion of flat and quality is higher than that of the other three certificates; in the damp heat and blood stasis and phlegm, dampness heat accounted for the largest proportion; the imbalance of Chong Ren card bardo virtual mass, the proportion of is higher than other three syndrome types. Damp-heat constitution and damp heat syndrome associated more closely, Yin-deficient and Chong Ren disorder zheng is correlative, Balanced constitution and wind heat zheng is correlative, There is not correlative between other TCM zheng and TCM constitution.Conclusion:1.Kunming region of acne patients are more biased physique. The most biased constitution is Damp-heat constitution, followed by Yin deficiency and yang deficiency.2.There is not correlative between acne patients gender, age and TCM constitution in Kunming region; in Kunming residence time and TCM constitution type is correlative; stay up late, addicted to eating greasy kind of food and fried barbecue food are correlative with TCM constitution types. Between acne lesion severity and TCM constitution types is correlative.Between zheng of TCM and TCM constitution types is correlative.
