Purpose: To study the distribution and interdependence of sinew nodes on lower limbs for people with KOA by data mining, and to preliminarily verify the specific along muscle tendons, providing the theory basis on sinew nodes selection for the treatment of KOA in clinicalMaterial and method:the unilateral lower limb of 122 patients with KOA used palpation inspection, some local sinew nodes were mainly examined and recorded such as sub Heding, infrapatellar, medial infrapatellar, lateral infrapatellar, lateral patellar, medial patellar, lateral tibial condyle, medial tibial condyle, sub Zusanli, sub Chenggu, sub Yangling, fibular head, sub Xiguan, upper Yinling, sub Fuxi, sub Weizhong, sub Weiyang, sub Yingu, some distal sinew nodes were also examined such as sub Fucheng, posterior superior iliac spine, sub Huantiao, sub Zhongkong, sub Wushu, sub Jiexi, sub Kunlun, sub Nvxi, upper Gongsun, sub Zhaohai. And the data were processed by Microsoft Excel, used SPSS Clementine 12.0 to do data mining, analyzed the frequency of sinew nodes on lower limb as well as the association between local and distal sinew nodes on knee by Apriori, and explores the clustering results via cluster analysis. Results: 1. the frequency of local sinew nodes are ranked from high to low as sinew nodes on muscle tendons of foot yangming, foot taiyang, foot shaoyang, and three yin meridians, the distal sinew nodes are ranked from high to low as sinew nodes on muscle tendons of foot yangming meridian, foot shaoyang, foot taiyang, and three yin meridians. 2. the 14 association rules of frequency between two sinew nodes around the knee are found when Apriori algorithm of association rule is in the minimum support degree 10%, minimum confidence 80%, to enhance greater than 1. Some of the sinew nodes have strong association, such as medial infrapatellar and xub Heding(support degree 52.46%, 87.50% confidence), sub Weiyang and sub Yingu(support degree 37.70%, 86.96% confidence), medial and lateral inferpatellar(support degree 52.46%, 85.94% confidence), medial infrapatellar and patellar( support degree 71.31%, 85.06% confidence), sub Weiyang and sub Weizhong( support degree 58.20%, 84.52%confidence). 45 assocoation rules of frequency among three sinew nodes are found when Apriori algorithm ofassociation rule is in the minimum support degree 15%, minimum confidence 85%, to enhance greater than 1. 39 association rules of frequency among 4 or more sinew nodes are found when Apriori algorithm of association rule is in the minimum support degree 20%, minimum confidence 90%, to enhance greater than 1. 3. 22 association rules between two sinew nodes located in local and the distal position such as loin-rump, hip, inguinal when Apriori algorithm of association rule is in the minimum support degree 10%, minimum confidence 60%, to enhance greater than 1. The confidences are ranked from high to low as sub Chengfu and sub Weizhong( support degree 58.2%, 81.69% confidence), posterior superior iliac spine and sub Weizhong(support degree 58.2%, 78.87% confidence), sub Chengfu and sub Yingu( support degree 37.7%, 76.09% confidence), sub Chengfu and sub Weiyang( support degree 63.93%, 74.36% confidence), posterior superior iliac spine and sub Weiyang( support degree 63.93%, 74.36% confidence). 21 association rules are found among three sinew nodes when Apriori algorithm of association rule is in the minimum support degree 10%, minimum confidence 80%, to enhance greater than 1. 40 association rules are found among 4 or more sinew nodes when Apriori algorithm of association rule is in the minimum support degree 15%, minimum confidence 90%, to enhance greater than 1. 4. 9 association rules between two sinew nodes located in local and knee parts are found when Apriori algorithm of association rule is in the minimum support degree 5%, minimum confidence 55%, to enhance greater than 1, ranking them from high to low as upper Gongsun and sub Zusanli(support degree 44.26%, 85.19% confidence), sub Nvxi and sub Yingu(support degree 37.7%, 78.26% confidence), sub Jiexi and infrapatellar( support degree 50%, 68.85% confidence), sub Jiexi and sub Heding( support degree 52.46%, 60.94% confidence), sub Nvxi and sub Weiyang( support degree 63.93%, 60.26% confidence). 28 association rules are found among three sinew nodes when Apriori algorithm of association rule is in the minimum support degree 10%, minimum confidence 80%, to enhance greater than 1. 41 association rules are found among 4 or more sinew nodes when Apriori algorithm of association rule is in the minimum support degree 20%, minimum confidence 85%, to enhance greater than 1. 5. the sinew nodes located on lower limbs are divided into 3 groups by cluster analysis, the distribution of sinew nodes has statistic significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. There is strong relevance for people with KOA between association of sinew nodes on lower limbs and muscle tendons. 2. There are correlations for people with KOA between association of sinew nodes on lower limbs and soft tissues such as muscle, ligament. 3. There is the specific for people with KOA in sinew nodes clustering.
