OBJECTIVEThis paper arranges the Viscera state theory in Huangdineijing and Huangdineijing Taisu, in the method of Knowledge Archaeology. Using discourse compositions of Knowledge Archaeology, This paper investigates the positions of TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentalityin the Viscera state theory between Huangdineijing and Huangdineijing Taisu, analyse TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality vnHuangdineijing Taisu, its hidden knowledge structure, the background of the changes, and its clinical application.METHODUsing the method of discourse compositions of Knowledge Archaeology, This paper reviews history of TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentalityin the Viscera state theory between Huangdineijing and Huangdineijing Taisu, Five Zang-organs, essential qi which Five Zang-organs store, Five Mentality which Five Zang-organs gives, the formation of the object, way of presentation, the spread of the concept, subject, strategy selection, and the relationship between concepts and so on, to analyse that the cores of the Viscera state theory in the Era of Huangdineijing Taisu are changing from Five Zang-organs storage of Essential qi to TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality. 1. Reviews the formation of the object of "Five Zang-organs" and "Essential qi" whichFive Zang-organs store, sets the boundary of what "Five Zang-organs" and "Essential qi" which Five Zang-organs store represents. 2.Reviews the formation of the object of Five Mentality which Five Zang-organs gives,sets the boundary of what Five Mentality which Five Zang-organs gives represents. 3. Reviews the description of the concept of TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality,explains the form which the concept represents itself in and how it was related to the prevailing framework of Viscera state theory in the era. 4. Reviews the thematic categorization of TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality,explains when the concept was applied and when it was dispelled. RESULTSBecause the mainstream thought of Huangdineijing era is the Jingxue(of the经学)heaven and man induction, so the Viscera state theory in Huangdineijing explainsthe life activities of the human body is dominated by the heaven and earth, can classify the specific life phenomena. Huangdineijing Yin and Yang, five elements are qi, belonging to the operation mode of qi. The movement of yin and yang two Qi is the promotion and demotion of heaven and earth, and the operation of five elements qi is four-seasonal qi orderly decline. The Viscera state theory in Huangdineijing is influenced by Jingxue(经学)in the era, take it as the core that Five Zang-organs store the essential qi from heaven and earth, then, the heaven and earth are the source of the essential qi. Five Zang-organs are storages and vessels of essential qi from heaven and earth; Meridian is channel between man and nature. The Five Zang-organs conform to four-season, reflecting the climate change.Because Huangdineijing Taisu is on the basis of the Jingxue(经学)of the heaven and man induction, and then, is influenced by Buddhism, so viscera state theoryofHuangdineijing Taisu continued Viscera state theory in Huangdineijing explains the life activities of the human body is dominated by the heaven and earth. However, it is not the core of Viscera state theory of Huangdineijing Taisu thaf’the heaven and man induction, Five Zang-organs store the essential qi from heaven and earth", but TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality is the core of it. Huangdineijing already recorded that Five Zang-organs store five Spirit, have their material basis, for example, Liver stores blood, blood give hun(魂),etc.Huangdineijing Taisufarthev explains that it is the reason why five Zang-organs store five Spirit that five Zang-organs have their material basis.For example Liver stores Essential qi from heaven and earth, which is Shaoyang qi, Spring qi, Wood qi, so as to make liver give hun-spirit(魂)Buddhism’s Pawiccasamuppqda, Theory of uncertainty, and self-denying doctrine, etc. essence thought explains that it is because of impermanence of Life and"Everything is created by the mind", so through practice, a life that is free from trouble unless it is troubled by all the troubles, to enter the realm of Nirvana. Therefore,the core of viscera state theoryof Huangdineijing Taisu changing from Five Zang-organs storage of Essential qi to TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality.Physiology and pathology mechanism of Emotional activities. Sufficiency of Five Organs and Essential qi makes emotional disease. Emotional disease makes Five viscera disease. Seven human emotions affect the movement of qi and makes disease.CONCLUSION1. The Viscera state theory in Huangdineijing Taisu is on the basis of the Viscera state theory in Huangdineijing. Continuing Five Zang-organs store Essential qi from heaven and earth, Taisu’s further emphasizingly take TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality as the core. The core of the Viscera state theory in Huangdineijing Taisu changes from Five Zang- organs storage of Essential qi to TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality.2. The background of changing core of viscera state theoryof Huangdineijing Taisu from Five Zang-organs storage of Essential qi to TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality, is the prosperity of Buddhism of the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Buddhism happened in Ancient India, entered China in the Eastern Han Dynasty, the gradual localization of China since the Wei and Jin Dynasties,and the prosperity of Buddhism of the Sui and Tang Dynasties.3. TCM Doctrine of Five Organs of Mentality is expounded that Physiology and pathology and clinical about mental activities that Ancient people perceived.
