ObjectiveAs the great master of Shang Han in MinGuo period, Mr Zhu proposed the idea to reform Traditional Chinese Medicine, besides he is one of the representatives in the process of Chinese and Western medicine convergence who use contemporary Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine together to improve deficiencies among them, as well as researching old wisdom and integrating new knowledge. Mr Zhu claimed that "Experience of the principle of no principle, the principle of can be found" that is to say that, although modern science can’t explain the principle of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it doesn’t mean it is unscientific and we can also find the truth and principles through practice and training. Attach importance to combination of theory with clinical practice, and seek truth only. Mr Zhu’s academic theory was influenced greatly by medical sage ZhangZhongJing who composed "ShangHanLun", and used lots of classical prescriptions in clinical, expanded the use of classical prescriptions, then by collecting Zhu’s relevant literatures over 30 years, found out that specialized research regarding academic theory and clinical experience of Zhu’s "ShangHanLun" was less, hence planned out for literature review and research on this subject. This subject uses "ShangHanZhiNan" which composed by Mr Zhu as main research object and also explain, sort out and research comprehensively about the original clauses in "ShangHanLun", conclude Mr Zhu’s inheritance and development of academic thought for "ShangHanLun", used Mr Zhu’s academic theory as basis in clinical, mining the clinical experience and syndrome differentiation thinking, thus make the classical prescriptions have better practical guiding significance in clinical.MethodBy collecting and referring ancient literatures and contemporary literatures, undergo arrangement and research about Zhu’s relevant literature content, systematically summarize content of Zhu’s books such as "ShangHanZhiNan", "BingLiFaHui", "ZhenDuanTiGang", "ShangHanXinYi" and "ShangHanFangJie", and also compare them with the original clauses in "ShangHanLun" which written by medical sage ZhangZhongJing, sort out and summarize the inheritance and development of academic thought for "ShangHanLun" from Mr Zhu, elaborate specific content and characteristics about Zhu’s ShangHan academic thought.ResultsThe first chapter is about Zhu’s academic inheritance and development for "ShangHanLun" which is departed into four parts:Concept of ZhengQi, Zhongyang Thought, ShangHan Organic and Inorganic Pathogenic, and the Substance of Six Channels. For Concept of ZhengQi, it mainly combined with Western Medical knowledge on the basis of Zhu’s "ShangHanLun", based on Zhu’s understanding about ZhengQi, Zhu addressed to Qi of body and resistance for further research, this discuss Zhu’s Concept of ZhengQi. Study discover shows he thinks that ZhengQi in Traditional Chinese Medicine theory is equal to natural healing energy in Western Medicine, by supporting the body’s natural healing energy and controlling the disease as core thinking, and propose the concept that treat "man" before "sickness", and proceed from Zhu’s Concept of ZhengQi, understand the relationship between Zhu’s ZhengQi and YangQi, derive that use Yang to solidify the body resistance, think highly of YangQi, claim innovation theories on these basis such as "Yang is often insufficient, while Yin is always sufficient", "ZhongYang when the patient is ill, ZhongYin in prevention" etc. From the aspect of Chinese and Western Medicine convergence, Zhu carried on analysis and arrangement about ShangHan Organic and Inorganic Pathogenic once again, to discuss the relations between main causes and causes of disease. Lastly is the research about the Substance of Six Channels, pioneered six-channels-five-paragraph from the perspective of resistance which based on Zhu’s Six Channels syndrome differentiation, on this account one by one analyze the Six Channels diseases by etiology and pathogenesis, development course, methods formulae and medicine, treatment according to syndrome differentiation etc., discover and understand the differences between six-channels-five-paragraph which composed by Zhu and Six Channels syndrome differentiation in "ShangHanLun".The second chapter is about Zhu’s research of Six Channels treatment according to syndrome differentiation, based on his writings "BingLiFaHui", "ZhenDuanTiGang" "ShangHanXinYi", "ShangHanFangJie", analyzed Zhu’s explanation about various provisions and the interpretation in the Six Channels diseases from the perspect of resistance, and summarize new theory of syndrome differentiation in Six Channels with the combination of traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. The third chapter is Zhu’s research and development application on Zhang Zhong Jing’s classical prescriptions and medicines. First of all, owing to Zhu’s new explanations for "Chinese Medicine’s nature and taste", research discovered that Zhu’s "Chinese Medicine’s nature and taste" mainly used Concept of ZhengQi to elaborate, he proposed the views about four natures of Chinese medicines works on whole human body, while five tastes works on part of human body, on this account he made comparison and analysis on the ascending, descending, exiting and entering of Chinese medicine’s nature and taste, this reflected Zhu’s core ideas of treatment by paying attention to ZhengQi. Then according to Zhu’s collection of cases, on the basis of analysis and discussion on compatible application of FuZi in "ShangHanLun", take compatibility method of FuZi into "compatibility of Fuzi with LingCiShi", "compatibility of Fuzi with SuanZaoRen", "compatibility of Fuzi with ShiGao", "compatibility of Fuzi and the clearing phlegm and dampness medicines" for further study and summary, we discovered that Zhu inherited and developed the application method of FuZi on the basis of "ShangHanLun", initiated warming and settling method, understand his clinical thinking by using ZhongYang thinking on classical prescription and prescription application of ZhongJing. Once again do a thorough discussion and analysis on Zhu’s oppose in using cold and cool nature Chinese medicines, understand that Zhu used warm and hot nature Chinese medicines instead of cold and cool nature Chinese medicines, based on TiQi and resistance reaction as standard point of view to choose warm or cool medicines. Finally are the examples of Zhu’s medical experience, mainly introducing the application of FuZi and ZhongYang thinking in clinical experience, the manner in which the name of the disease were divided into cold, cough, hemoptysis, typhoid, dysentary, arthralgia, insomnia etc. and do further research and analysis, as well as summarize Zhu’s thinking on treatment based on syndrome differentiation.Conclusion1. On the basis of "ShangHanLun", Zhu analyzed Six Channels syndrome differentiation from the Concept of ZhengQi, by supporting ZhengQi to control the disease as core thinking.2. On the basis of valuing ZhengQi, derived that use Yang to solidify the body resistance, Yang as leading clinical thinking.3. Make a distinction about "Concept of XieQi in ShangHan" by organic and inorganic.4. On the basis of Zhu’s Six Channels syndrome differentiation, initiated the argument of six-channels-five-paragraph, used Qi of body and resistance as syndrome differentiation basis, these were the inheritance and development of ShangHan academic thought from Mr Zhu.5. Good at using FuZi, proposed the clinical thinking of using "warm" to strengthen the body resistance, on the basis of "ShangHanLun", developed and expanded the application method of FuZi.
