Objective:1.To know the current situation of health literacy 、 self-management behavior and quality of life among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus;2.To analyze the influencing factors of health literacy、self-management behavior and quality of life among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus;3.o analyze the relationship among patients` health literacy、self-management behavior and quality of life.Methods: Health literacy、SDSCA and DSQL were used to survey 417 patients with type 2 diabetes in three hospitals of Dalian. Data were analyzed with software SPSS 17.0.Descriptive analysis, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test,independent-samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson analysis Spearman analysis and Logistic regression were used.Results: 1.418 questionnaires were distributed and 417 were valid with a 99.8%efficient rate. 2. 2.2% of respondents have health literacy, was lower than rural residents.There were statistical differences of health literacy in different social demography characteristics. Main influencing factor was education level. 3. Total score of Self-management Behavior of patients with type 2 diabetes was 7.26.The order from high to low was diet, exercise, blood glucose monitored and foot nursing. Main influencing factor were gender and degree of education.4.81.5% respondents` quality of life were medium, 14.6% were lower. The score index from high to low are the influence of treatment, social relationship, psychology/mind, physical function. Main influencing factor were occupation and average monthly household income. 5.Health literacy has a positive correlation with self-management and quality of life.Conclusion: 1.The health literacy of the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus was not ideal. Education level was the main affecting factor. 2. The self-management behaviors of the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus was lower. The main influencing factors were gender and educational level. 3. The patients` quality of life was medium.The main influencing factors were occupation and average monthly household income.
