Nowadays, the traditional management model cannot meet the needs of current situation of graduates'employment, because there are a lot of deficiencies in it. For example, the circulation channels of information are not sufficiently fluent and efficient enough. The processing of data cannot reach the designated requirements. And all these deficiencies cause serious information loss in the process of applying and employing among the graduates and employers. Especially in my university, the situation is graver. We have five campuses, including over 50 colleges and units for cultivation of postgraduates, more than 300 majors for undergraduates, postgraduates and students in the vocational training schools. Each year, the number of the graduates is up to 16000 or above. Under this situation, the traditional model cannot work efficiently. And the computer network will play an important role in solving these problems. In recent years, when evaluating the colleges and universities by ministry of Education, the retalized management of employment information is becoming an important index to assess and estimate the work of colleges and universities in graduates employment. And it has become a challenging topic to build up a graduates-employment-oriented web-sit with high quality, which can reflect the characteristics of the majors'establishment in each college and university. According to my experience, the realistic needs and specific condition of graduates'employment in Jilin University, I will use the techniques of computer net work to design and construct an easy-operated, swift, powerful and efficient information web-site, which will also be a good mutual-choose platform for the graduates and employing units. Meanwhile, it will instruct and help other colleges and Universities to develop and construct their employment information websites. Besides the traditional information like employment instruction, policies and information, there will be other new functions in the websites. For example, the graduates can issue and submit resumes to the employers through the website, while the units can publicize need information and receive resumes online. At the same time, the graduates can consult relative information on line, or sign the employment agreement with the units. During the research on this task, it is necessary to study the developing situation of employment information websites of colleges and Universities all over the country, and make reference to websites of some famous Universities. In order to meet the practical needs, the website plan must conform to reality of our school, and suit for colleges and universities. To finish this task, it needs to be familiar with the procedure and features of employment work in colleges and universities, master the knowledge on technology of computer and network, basic methods of software project, supervision and maintenance of network database, webpage-making, and programming of dynamic web pages. In recent years, based on the school-net work, many colleges and universities have built up information service system for graduates, which has been achieved rapid development. However, the speed and levels of these school-networks are quite different. Therefore the website which will construct must suit to the current reality and the major'establishments, serve for the concrete employment situation, and be highly efficient and specific to the employment services for graduates. So it is necessary for our working staff to submit a design of website. To keep pace with the development and needs of graduates'employment, the employment website has to be updated frequently with new functions. Even in the process of operation, there will be continuous tests and program-revising. Therefore, it is more important to introduce the standards and norms of software project to the development of employment websites. However, according to the investigation on colleges and universities web pages, it is found that design, development and maintenance of most pages cannot meet the standards and norms of software project. In constructing the employment web pages in college and universities, there are some common difficulties. On one hand, the employment staff cannot master computer technologies, or the technical personnel are not familiar with employment situation. On the other hand, there are no existing theories and instructions to refer to. Therefore there is a lot of confusion in building, maintaining and developing the website for colleges and universities. To deal with these problems, combined with my own experience and specific knowledge about computer, this thesis will use the standards and norms of software project to discuss the construction and realization of employment information websites from the aspects of project plan, demand analysis, summary design, detailed design, coding, testing maintenance and so on, and make a practical design plan with high quality for employmentwebsites in colleges and universities. As for the features of website development, some theories and methods are selected from the software project to instruct website construction, and many new practical methods are designed, such as the enumerate list of functional modules. The design in the thesis aims to provide a blueprint to the development of employment website for graduates in Jilin University, and also provide program-developers a website design plan, which accords with the standards of software development and the practical conditions of employment work in colleges and universities. And it will be instructive and helpful for the construction and maintenance of employment information websites, and will also apply to other colleges and universities'website construction.
