This paper centers around the research of the software and hardware design of the "MOST bus experiment and developing platform". The requirement analysis and the technical demand of the design of the "MOST bus experiment and developing platform" are examined; furthermore, the overall scheme of the design of the software and the hardware is also presented. Finally, the adjustment of the software and hardware systems is finished. Additionally, the paper also verifies the validity of the design scheme through experiments, which has laid the ground for the future development of our own equipment relating to MOST. Nowadays, along with the development of the automobile electronics, the automobiles electronics is becoming more and more advanced. The automobile industry has stepped into a new era. Meanwhile, the degree of the development of the automobile electronics also becomes a criterion of evaluating the technical level of automobile production in a country. The first chapter of the paper introduced generally the characteristics and development of the MOST bus and some relating research. The main content of the paper is also included in the first chapter. "MOST bus experiment and developing platform" is the focus of the second chapter. The research work is conducted around the MOST interface equipment and the micro-controller. Furthermore, this chapter also analyzed the working mechanism of the individual parts of the platform as well as its their functions. Finally, the input and output data of this platform were also summarized from the perspectives of data source, data type, data form and interface The hardware plan of the "MOST bus experiment and developing platform" aims to realize the fast data processing, the high speed reliable communication and the strong anti-jamming. This article uses the modular design thought "MOST bus experiment and developing platform". The hardware is divides into the MOST connection and the control module, S/PDIF audio frequency decoding module, as well as micro controller downloading module. MOST connection and the control module is divided into control unit, connection unit, optical fiber receiving and dispatching unit, RS232 serial communication unit, pressed key corresponding unit as well as the condition feedback unit. S/The PDIF audio frequency decoding module by the division is S/PDIF audio frequency decoding unit as well as D/A transformation unit. The software plan of the "MOST bus experiment and developing platform" aims to realize the high stability, easy operation and strong readability. By using the modular design thought, this paper divided the software part of the "MOST bus experiment and developing platform" according to the environment into the underlying communication software and the upper formation operation software two major parts. The underlying communication software by the division is I2C correspondence unit, external interrupt response unit, the RS232 serial communication unit, the upper formation operation software is divided sends out for the operational order unit, the information feedback unit. According to the overall design of the hardware, the hardware is divided into the MOST bus interface module hardware design, S/PDIF audio frequency decoding and its D/A transformation module hardware design and AT89S52 micro controller downloading module design. MOST bus interface module hardware design by the division is the OS8104 receiving and dispatching controller smallest system design, the optical fiber receiving and dispatching partial designs, S/The PDIF audio frequency flows the receiving and dispatching partial circuit design, the AT89S52 micro controller smallest system design, the I2C communication circuit design, the AT89S52 RS232 serial mouth communication circuit design, the man-machine interactive hardware partial designs, the power source design, MOST bus receiving and dispatching and the control module may the extended design. S/PDIF audio frequency decoding and its D/The A transformation module hardware design by the division is S/PDIF audio frequency decoding unit hardware design and digital audio frequency D/A transformation unit hardware design. S/The PDIF audio frequency decoding unit used CS8414 to take the decoding chip, D/The A transformation unit used CS4334 to take D/A transformation chip. According to the overall plan designs, the software design is divided into underlying communication software design and the upper formation operation software two major parts. The underlying communication software is the soul of the whole hardware platform. It is further divided into AT89S52 micro controller hypothesized I2C bus unit software design, the external interrupt response unit software design, the RS232 serial communication unit software design. On the basis of the software and hardware system, according to the characteristics of the system design modular, the system is divided in seven modules. They are adjusted separately. These seven modules were: RS232 serial communication electric circuit debugging, I2C bus communication circuit debugging, man-machine interactive hardware electric circuit debugging, S/PDIF audio frequency decoding and its D/The A switchingcircuit debugging, the AT89S52 micro controller downloading module debugging as well as the photoelectricity receive and dispatch the equipment the reliable debugging. Finally, this paper may shed some light and lay the theoretical and technical foundation for the development of the equipment of MOST bus whose intellectual properties belong to ourselves.
