Due to the increasing investment on the country road infrastructure construction, the experimental testing work of highway project is becoming more arduous. In order to reduce the workload of gathering real-time data about the road surface quality and the testing of the performance, the on-line fast automatic detection technology has been discussed and applied a lot. This thesis aims at the application of on-line fast automatic detection, using the road geometry parameter characteristics, has done concrete research on its examination algorithm and, with the suitable sensory equipment, based on modern high technology like computer technology, sensory technology, data processing technology as well as database technology, studies the road geometry parameter fast automatic detection system. This system has the widespread application prospect in the road geometry parameter real-time scene examination.This thesis focuses on the fast automatic detection theory and the examination algorithm analysis, the plan design and the feasibility analysis. The detailed automatic detection algorithm, the plan of examination, the platform of the examination and the automatic detection system are presented in the thesis, and relevant experiments have been carried out. The arm is to fitout the technology for applied automatic detection system of road geometry parameter.At first the thesis introduces the concept of the road geometry parameter and its examination standard, based on which the system function and the examination plan of the road geometry parameter fast automatic detection system has been given out. Then the entire automatic detection system frame, including the system platform constitution, the automatic detection system power supply system design and the installation of the entire automatic detection system are presented. And it do a automatic detection algorithm for the Road Geometry Parameter.At next the introduction of the main process of the modern object-oriented software development, the model of the entire road geometry parameter examinationsystem has been carried out using UML modeling technology, which includes the overall system demand analysis, system analysis and design, system realization as well as software testing. The demand to the overall system, user-cases study, the conceptual model, the interaction chart, the classes chart, the state diagram and the structure of the system are given. Finally the system was built and the testing of the system software was done.At last, with the established system platform, the experimental study to the road geometry parameter fast automatic detection system is done repeatedly, which includes the static experiment and the dynamic experiment. The experimental result indicates that, the designed road geometry parameter automatic detection algorithm is feasible, and the research and the development of the overall system are reasonable and practicable.
