Design And Implement Of Information Monitoring System Of Virtual Host Based On Linux

The number of small hosts which based on virtual host becomes more and more with the fast grow of internet. They make a lot of contribution to the information prosperity of internet, yet there are some problems such as release and spread of illegal and harmful information. So it is very urgent to take effective method to administer the virtual host in technique. Many network monitoring products now that can only used for finding the fault and measuring the performance of network device, and some other internet security product used for preventing the intrude of hacker. Security organization can install an information filtering device at the export of the network, but there so many packet through it that make it hard to analyze and record enough data. So the need of a system that can monitor the information on the virtual host at real-time is very urgent. Our system used the pop technology of packet filtering that based netfilter framework in Linux, realized the information filtering function,and with iptables and bridge realized the function to capture the packet. At the same time, this system support log audit function and simple IDS function, reinforce the system's security and easy to manage. The test result of our finished system indicated that this system has the property of cheap, easy to manage and extensible, and make it easy and effective to monitor the information of internet with good performance. We believe that our system will be used widely with great promise.
