Research On The Technology Of Dynamic Workflow Based Petri-Net

For traditional workflow system, process models are defined in Build-time, in Run-time workflow enactment service interpret and execute these models. But process models that are over-specified are often difficult to follow because their requirements for completion are too rigid. The unpredictability of business processes requires that workflow system has the ability to dynamically adapt to the changing environment. The dynamic workflow, which is one of main issues in the research of advanced workflow, is an area of research which examines concepts, techniques, and tools to support dynamic change.This thesis which is based on the technology of Petri-net, transform process model into workflow net. According to the workflow meta-model,. the semantic of transition and place are determined respectively. Furthermore, the soundness of process model is validated through the coverability tree algorithm. Based on these studies, the methods which support dynamic definition and dynamic change are discussed in detail. On the basis of J2EE platform and relational database, a workflow engine which supports dynamic workflow is implemented at last.By the comparisons with other similar research works, the advantages of this approach which is discussed in the paper in terms of applicability, correctness and practicality are illustrated.
