| The functions of project of this system realizes are as follows. First it can capture the data packet that flow through this host and the network in real time. Second it can change network data into readable form (utilizing C language to realize screen show). Third it can count the speed of network flow and the flow that local machine or the inward network uses in real time. Forth it can display statistical analysis data in the window by the curve view (utilizing TCL/TK). Fifth it can discover the question in the network. And finally it can find the bottleneck and perform network Intrusion Detection .Work under Linux operating system environment, the network data packet anglicizing and detecting system that we design, can capture " head " of data totally that convey in the TCP/IP network, so as to analyze the whole packet though the "head". It is the foundation of Network performance analysis and Invasion Detection . The system well operates though C language and function library — libpcap that used to capture network data.The data analysis makes it counts to be foundation of network application and development. So anglicizing and researching lower agreement and its application have practical meaning. On this basis, we can develop various kinds of network application, such as restraining some unsafe datum of website from wrapping up and sending, or carrying the flow of the network under control etc..Due to the data packet capture , there are mature technology and products both at home and abroad.This project is mainly to serve as a kind of utility under the environment of simulation and LAN. And lay a foundation for the monitoring of network security.
