The technology of remote sensing which is a synthetical science in spacial information have been developed rapidly in recent years. Its function and value have been considered importantly by many departments. Especially in reconnoitering resources, governing environment , testing change of globe and other aspects, the technology of remote sensing shows great advantages and has been used more and more widely. It has been the basic technique in geo-science and resource science, and become a important part of information science.With the increasing of the kinds of satellite load, the enhancement of distinguishing capacity, the rise of the information emitted by the satellite and the construction of receiving station have been developed to high speed, high integration, network structure and automatization. The remote diagnosis, maintaining and upgrading can be realized through network.The basic buildup, work principle and the design of receiving system have been researched in this paper. At last the design of X-frequency receiving station has been proposed. The main work and results can be summarized as follows:1. Introduce the technology of remote sensing in brief, including the definition, processing process, components of system, the classification and the use of remoteimage, etc.2. Introduce the system frame of receiving station briefly. The ground receiving system of the remote sensing satellite consists of the antenna, receiving demodulation, data recording, data pretreatment, monitoring management, time-frequency, the test and calibration sub-system and other auxiliary device. Especially the composition and work principle of antenna sub-system and receiving demodulation sub-system are discussed in detail respectively in this paper.3. Introduce the system design of receiving station in plain. The choice of the location of receiving station, the test of electromagnetism environment and the design technique of the system are expatiated in this part. The computation of G/T and the relation between G/T and the whole CNR are discussed as emphasis.4. Introduce the design examples of receiving station in X-frequency. This receiving station receives the signals of EOS satellite mainly, and also can receive the signals of other satellite such as HY-1 through adding equipments. In this part, the receiving capability of system is researched thoroughly; the main performance of the system is confirmed and distributed to the sub-system and device. At last, the designprinciple of the sub-system is discussed briefly.
