Remote Project Management Information System

Project management is the project management personnel carrying out effective management of the entire work involved with the project under limited resources. Based on Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Remote Project Management Information System (RPMIS) facilitates one or a group of project managers to work cooperatively, accomplishing project management tasks. RPMIS helps project managers plan activities, schedule work to be performed, view the relationships among tasks, manage resources, and monitor the progress of the project. In paper, we design Remote Project Management Information System based on CSCW. Users could use computer to control and manage the project without the limit of distance. Firstly, we analysis the operation system of project management, and modeling of operation, put forward the use case and applying pattern of project management system. Based on CSCW system model framework and control mechanism we put forward model of Project Management Information System (PMIS) based on CSCW. In this part, we get the overall and technology demand of system, information platform based on CSCW, static model and dynamic model of the RPMIS. Finally, we realize the RPMIS, and get the prototype of system. Now, the system is running very well. Paper study Project Management and Computer Supported Cooperative Work apply in the PMIS, modeling and implementation of PMIS.
