Chemometrics is an interfacial field (lying between measurement-oriented chemistry and applied statistics) that concerns the extraction of information from chemical data by mathematical and statistical means. With the rapid development of Chemometrics, the engineers have to face the complicated and heavy chemical calculations tasks. The purpose of Remote Computing Platform for Chemometrics is to provide an effective and reliant way for engineers to solve the calculation problems.The main research progresses in this paper are listed here:1. The structure of "Remote Computing Platform for Chemometrics" is B/S structure which provides the elegant solution for remote computing. All the Chemometrics algorithms are open in the Web based Chemometrics remote calculation platform and the methodologies are shared by end users. Users can access and choose specific service without considering their operation systems. The register section, algorithm query section, Task submission section, result query section, material downloading section, the billing section and the algorithm administration section have been accomplished. The system has the function of sending short message to the mobile phones of end users informing them to query the result of the tasks they submitted.2. The application layer protocol for the communication of the website and the control unit is designed and implemented. The protocol based on the TCP protocol using the Socket programming.3. The algorithms in the Algorithm library can be dynamically invocated by the computing server without restart or re-compile the system using reflection principle.
