The researches on the paid interview mainly focus on one form of the kind-news resource that is among the 12 highlights discussed most often in 2004.In other countries, the environment of communication is quite different and the individual right and the definition of industrial and commercial business of media are commonly accepted in the society; as a transaction in the market, the paid interview is consistent with other subsystems as a result little doubt is on its justice and opinions are consistent. The diverging is only on the justice of interviewing the criminals. At home, the dual definition of the media throws the paid interview in an embarrassment practically and theoretically. On the on hand, the confirmation of medium as facilities of the country makes the paid interview unpracticable in China. On the other hand, the pressure of existence from the market forces the media to win the advantages in the competition by virtue of the paid interviewing. Meanwhile, advantages and disadvantages are mixed in it so there are different views about it in our country. From different angles, the paper gives a full and penetrating expounding of the paid interview in the light of the news business and other social subsystems. The present propaganda policy and journalist theory still stick to the dual constitution of the media and regard the interview as the action of the government. Disengaging from the traditional views, the paper considers paying as a feasible way to balance the interest of interviewers and interviewees on the premise of the reality that paying is accepted as an action in the market and illustrates the justice and the practice of the paid interview according to the demands of interview. The paid interview is justified as far as the most common right, the right of knowledge and privacy. Whereas more attention is concentrated on the contraries between the two rights and the interior dilemma of the justice of the paid interview is reverted to the discussion of the confrontation between the two rights.
