Research On Modulation Techniques In Distribution Line Carrier Communication

This paper studies the application of orthogonal-frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) and code-division multiplexing access (DS-CDMA) techniques in distribution line carrier communication.1. Analyze the characteristics and interferences of distribution line channels using practical measurement data.2. Investigate the applicability of OFDM and DSSS as the modulation techniques of distribution line carrier communication and study the related implementation techniques including synchronization, channel compensation, encoding interweave and mapping, and dynamic allocate sub-channels.3. Establish a simulation system of distribution line carrier communication, simulate the typical noises in distribution line. Simulation results further verify the theoretical analyses.4. Compare the performance of OFDM, DSSS and DS-CDMA techniques. Although the DS-CDMA has the advantages over the OFDM and DSSS, the OFDM is much suitable for applications to distribution line carrier communication.
