The Study And Realization Of Intrusion Detection Technology

With the development of the Internet, there are high demands for Internet application. The network services,such as E-Bank and E-Commerce are becoming the part of life.And Network attacks that intrude our system or get our information are increasing.People have realized the importance of network security.IDS is a technology which can protect our information.It can monitor our systems Or networks, and finds intrusions. The research and development of IDS have become the important subject in network security area.And many attacks can be orchestrated over a wide area network, and over a long period of time. In such an environment, the ability of intrusion detection systems and their components to share information about these attacks is especially important. Such sharing would allow systems to warn others about possible impending attacks.So,the thesis begins its discussion by introducing the concept of IDS and the basic knowledge of IDS,then it attempts to give detailed discussions on the IDS based network,introducing and application the functions of NIDS API.The thesis ends with the discussion on the normative design and implementation of the IDS.
