With the full development of computer technology, chiptechnology, and other related technology, the research ofintelligent card basing on the application of IC which has becomethe focus of present technological development, especially theapplication of IC on campus has become a heated trend. On the basisof analyzing the development and application of global IC technologyas well as some concrete conditions of campus, I set up this CampusUniversal Card System, which aims at comprehending all the previousfunctions such as identification, consumption, and pass-waymanagement etc.After using Campus Universal Card System, we can replace thecards that we using now such as student card, library card, mealticket, computer ticket, identification card and so on by taking onlya universal card to consume anywhere of the campus. We can controlevery consuming spot effectively to carry on financialadministration, so that we can improve the university'administration and teaching quality greatly to adapt to the challengeof the 21st information times! The following parts illustrate somedetails:Due to the great technology and application advantages, ourgovernment has already realized that the IC industry will play animportant role in accelerating national economy informatization.Nowadays most trades have signed cooperative agreement with foreigncompanies on the basis of bringing in the card-making equipment andcard-reading equipment, which has accelerated the application of ICcard. At present, the situation of universal card system applicationis: many software companies have developed their own products,however, most of the products are confined to the single functionresulting from capital deficiency and market expand problem, so thatthey can not accomplish the universal card system. All these problemsmake difficultis in upgrading and management as well as causeequipment and investment waste. In fact, most so-called " all-purposecard system" products are more than multi-application card.In order to solve these questions mentioned above, we design theall-purpose card system on the following aspects: First of all, standing on the system frame, I proposes the thoughtof C/S supporting by COM package technology, and basing on a wholeset of package developing regulations, and make full use of C++Builder to designed and finifshed this frame finally. Meanwhile,the frame offers some common use function, for instance, packageregistration , package cancel , user and authority management ,operation diary maintenance, etc, and the unified operationinterface to different users as well. By using this frame , thedeveloper can develop C/S faster and more convenient.Secondly, we have done research in interface functions offeredby several IC card ancillary equipment manufacturer, and find outthe generality and characteristic of different interface functions.Adopting the thought of facing target, we have encapsulated againto different interface function, formed common hardware interface,and made the regulations of interface transfer. In this way, theuniversal card system that we developed can make sure to have maximumcompatibility to the hardware equipment provided by differentmanufacturers, which could reduce waste of equipment investment; Atthe same time, it brought great convenience for the upgrading andsystem maintenance by stripping the lower strata hardware and upperstrata application.Finally, according to the characteristic of campus managementat present, after consulting the campus administration department,and on the basis of analyzing the demands of different schools , werealize some typical subsystem of campus universal card systerm suchas student management , teacher management , attendance management ,entrance guard management , consumption management ,etc..To sum up, this system have strong compatibility and expansionand different equipment hardware equipment offered by differentmanufacturer such as IC card read & write equipment, attendancemachine , entrance guard controller , POS machine, water controller,etc. may use in this system, in this way, the users can takeadvantage of the system they have had already to avoid waste ofresources.
