Examination System Of Computer Application Ability Training Of Civil Servants Of Jilin Province

In light of the current situation of computer application ability trainingexamination of civil servants of Jilin Province today, a convenient, flexibleand easy-used examination system of computer application ability training ofcivil servants is to be in research and developed, which will offer moreconvenience to the test of computer application ability training examinationof civil servants of Jilin Province and promote the implementing ofE-government project. This paper will introduce the designing anddeveloping of the system and the relevant research and exploration ofinformation system with the title of examination system.In the first chapter, I introduce the situation in the training examinationof civil servants at present, analyze all kinds of problems existing amongthem, and then summarize the main contents of my research. In the computertraining of civil servants, it is the most direct mode to exam the contents thathave been studied , meanwhile the most traditional one. It is an importantcomponent of education to manage the affairs of exams. And the design ofexamination papers is the most important part in the education, but thetraditional man-made designing mode as the part of educating haven't metthe need of the modern high education currently. Since there are many faultsin the traditional mode by hand, computer education circle needs urgentlythis kind of software to manage the affairs of examination, meet the demandsof development trend, improve the working efficiency, lighten the work ofteachers and education segments. Thus it will save the consumption inmanpower, material resources and financial cost. The examination system canauto-compose examination papers from abundant examination questions withdifferent type and degree of difficulty, allow candidates operate the computerto answer and finish the papers, and then collect and appraise fast andconveniently, get various kinds of statistics analysis results finally.In the second part of this paper, the developing process of this system,problems and their settlement methods are discussed. Firstly the systemfeasibility is analyzed on view of economics and techniques respectively: itwill bring better economical effect and be implemented with currentcomputer technology. Secondly the design progress of the examinationsystem is illustrated in detail as follows.It consists of five modules mainly: paper database management module,candidates information management module, paper management module,candidates operating module, paper marking module, system configurationmodule and authority management module. Then there are several flow chartof the system module and three main module of the examination system. Atlast the software and hardware environment of development is introduced,and some important problems met in the process are illustrated concretely,namely system security, algorithm optimization in the process of papercomposition, flexibility, all-purpose problem and easy-using. In the third chapter, specific implementation of each functional module ofthe exam system is illustrated, such as candidates information management,paper database management, paper management and reviewing management.In the paper database management module, users can input, inquiry, revise,delete the exam questions. And in the paper management module, users canconfigure the types, marks, and time of each question in the standard orcustomized form, and then the system will inquiry and index in the databaseof exam questions with certain algorithm, get all the expected records, andput them in the data buffer, finally extract proper questions with certainalgorithm and show to the users. They are exported if users satisfy. Otherwiseusers return examination questions to datum buffering area collect again,until users are satisfied. In the exam management module, candidates canoperate the computer to answer the questions, mark the questions that can'tanswer for the moment, take control of time. Meanwhile the supervisors cancheck out the candidates that are cheating. When exam finish, the papers canbe collected automatically in the LAN. In the reviewing module, the systemcan carry on reviewing objective questions automatically, offer the subjectquestions to the reviewers and then gather the marks and record in thecandidates information database. Moreover, users can do proper adjustmentto the achievements and the marks of the examination can be counted,gathered. In the examination content module, the examination content isdivided into elementary part and intermediate part. The type of the examdatabase is roughly divided into Objective question including Choose andJudge, and Subjective question including design. The exam database canincrease the types at random。 The system management module is responsible for system registration,management and maintaining. Manage all the users of the system; Add,delete and modify the users, and configure and modify the authority of users;Add all discipline subjects, and configure the standard papers, etc. In the fourth chapter is the detailed progress of the design of databasesused. First of all, the data dictionary in the database is listed in the form oftables. Then, the main technology of the database used in the designing of theexam system is introduced, such as ODBC, COM, ADO. Finally, I discussedin detail the main technological difficulties and their solution methods in thecourse of design. In the fifth chapter, the exam system is debugged one module by onemodule, and finally dealt with integrated testing as to assigned software andhardware environment. Through the series of testing, the training examsystem of computer application ability of civil servants operates normally,and the results are correct.
