Research On Application Of Temporal GIS In Urban Traffic Management System

Temporal GIS is an important research field of GIS. The paper briefly introduce the production, development and the application prospect of TGIS, elaborates the concept of temporal database and educe the bitemporal theory. Then, carry on the multi-analysis to the spatio-temporal Data Model which is the core of temporal gis. The Snapshot Model, Update Model and Space-time composite Model are carried on detailed discussion and the Update Model is amended. At last, Based on the Bitemporal theory and amended Update Model, the Urban Traffic Management System of Baoding is designed and completed, in which operations such as appending, updating, deletions and storage of spatio-temporal information can be implemented successfully.
