Channel Estimation Research For Low-voltage Power Line Communication Based On OFDM

Channel estimation is researched for OFDM system in low-voltage power line communication in this paper. OFDM technique has been the mainstream in low-voltage power line communication because of its good capability against interference and high transmission rate. Firstly, the low-voltage power line channel properties are analyzed and a multi-path channel model is established. Then the OFDM system model and parameter selecting principle are analyzed, an OFDM simulation model is established after the analysis. On the base of analysis of power line channel and OFDM system, research is focused on the channel estimation algorithm. Two kinds of methods including channel estimation based on pilot and decision feedback are analyzed. These methods are simulated in the low-voltage power line communication model and different performances are got. After comparison of these methods, the improved method is proposed, which can get lower BER and better performance.
