Research On The Automated Fingerprint Identification System Base On DSP

The technology of fingerprint identification system becomes perfect with each passing day in the field of image processing and pattern recognition. The purpose of the subject is to explore and to research a fingerprint capturing system and fingerprint identification algorithm based on DSP chip TMS320C6713.First, this paper introduces the developing actuality, difficulties and direction on fingerprint identification technology, and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the technology of fingerprint capturing, and at last selects the fingerprint sensor MBF200.So then, this paper introduces the basic functions of semiconductor sensor MBF200, and designs the child-board of fingerprint capturing according as the basic interior configuration under the emulator of DSK6713 and at last captures fingerprints.This paper at last analyses the disadvantages of the fingerprint recognition algorithm based on minutia and introduces the basic principal of the algorithm based on structure of fingerprint, and designs a systematical method of calculating fingerprint center point, normalizing, Gabor filtering, sectoring, extracting features and checking based on structure of fingerprint, and implement the algorithm using of emulator of Matlab, and sets up a fingerprint database of some fingerprints, matches the database with a number of fingerprints, and analyses the matching result.
