Being a new generation video processing system, object-oriented video processing system will have been widely used in all kinds of surveillance system. This strong interest is driven by a wide spectrum of promising application in many areas such as virtual reality, smart surveillance, perceptual user interface etc. It aims at attempting to detect, track and recognize target, and more generally, to understand and describe their behaviors from video sequences by computer vision technology. At the present time, fast and precise segmentation, and handling occlusions are more important and difficult problem. Such as the changing of weather or illumination, the disturbing of background, the moving object's shadow and the occlusion between object and environment will affect precise segmentation. The more factually and potentially ways to solve occlusion is use multiple distributed nodes.This paper bases on the current moving target detecting, classifying and tracking technology, takes the embedded system as typical application scene to investigate the detecting and tracking technology for fast changing environment; tracking target with two distributed nodes based on embedded system; and tracking technology based on moving node. Then, on the basis of our study, we develop an embedded video tracking system based on object.The primary contributions of this thesis include the following four parts.1. Based on embedded system application scene, we do research on moving target detecting technology, shadow removal technology, target classifying and target tracking technology for the environment condition changing fleetly.2. We investigate tracking technology with two distributed nodes based on embedded system, and further we handle occlusion problem.3. Based on human vision system we bring forward the system model with moving node, and describe the character and point out the difficulty in realization.4. Based on the above research, we design and implement the embedded video tracking system based on object.The exploration to moving target detecting, tracking technology and target tracking with two distributed nodes based on embedded system, has the significant practice meaning for object-oriented video processing system.
