Network designing and manufacturing have already become the advancedmanufacturing mode in the 21st century. Facing the diversification of the business demand,a lot of functions and business process of virtual enterprise's application system arechanging constantly. It is very difficult for traditional management information system tosolve the problem of system reconfiguration because of business process re-engineering. Andworkflow management system is the strong tool which supports automation of the businessprocess, which supports working in coordination among enterprises, carries oncorresponding adjustment according to the change of the business process, and has goodadaptability and flexibility. As for these features of virtual enterprise's production activity,the production management system of virtual manufacturing enterprise-PMSVME basedon workflow technology is studied, and the mentalities of design and realizationmechanism are explained in this paper.Firstly, the features of business process and application of workflow managementtechnology in production management system in virtual manufacturing enterprise areanalyzed, composition and structure and modeling method and technology feature areintroduced, and build of the virtual enterprise's workflow model is studied in emphasesincluding course model and organizing model and information model, what'more, Thecourse model of workflow is analysed by Petri Nets; and function module, system structure,operating and development environment, the realization schemes of concrete procedure aregiven; Secondly, the key technology of PMSVME is analyzed from such respects: designof workflow engine, the realization of integrated BOM tree, statistical analysis and previewoutputting of report form in web environment, system security design, etc. Based on it, theapplication of XML and Web Service technology in information Interactive, sharing andsystem integration in PMSVME are analyzed in detail. Finally, work conclusion of thispaper and system deficiency is gived and the development of PMSVME system is lookedforward.This system is PMSVME on the basis of three-tier distributed architecture of B/S andC/S mode, which is developed under the .Net Framework combining network technology ,workflow technology and advanced production management idea(MRPII,ERP,etc.),adopting the module design method and utilizing Visual Basic.Net and SQL Server 2000.PMSVME can meet the demand of the production management of virtual manufacturingenterprise better, realize the automation and reorganization of the production managementprocedure, and raise production efficiency, and thus bring the direct economic benefits toenterprises. What is more, it offers a feasible solution for constructing information systemagain, reduces the cost of developing and safeguarding in great, is a kind of beneficialexploration for developing the production management system of high dependability , highflexibility, has great directive significance.
