The use of HWIL simulation yields substantial economies during the development and production phases of missiles. Live flight tests are not only expensive but they can only exercise the missile in one scenario. Often the telemetry data is not adequate or not available to diagnose failures fully. For these reasons, HWIL simulation can yield savings far in excess of its cost and can be used for testing at all phases of the missile's life cycle. Performing non-destructive testing on a missile will reduce live firings while maintaining or improving the confidence that the missile meets all performance specifications. Each test missile can be exercised over a variety of engagement scenarios and, if failures occur, the scenario can be duplicated for precise identification of the cause. Extremes of the performance envelope can be exercised with hardware-in-the-loop simulation. Live firings could not risk such tests. Development testing with HWIL simulation assures the missile meets specifications over the full range of engagement envelopes.The topic of the thesis is from "the construction of HWIL simulation lab for one missile". The key technologies of HWIL simulation are studied.First, The kinematics and dynamics model of the missile are made and simulated, and the result data of the simulation experiments is produced. Based on Matlab GUI, the software package of data analysis is developed. And it can be used to analysis the simulation result data. The XPC target is introduced, and the framework of HWIL simulation system based on the software of XPC target is made.Second, The system structure, Interrupt Request Level, Thread Scheduler, Asynchronous Procedure Call and Local Process Call of Windows 2000 are analyzed, and some methods are produced. With them, we may process some high real time tasks in Windows 2000.The device driver of ISA Card IPC5386 inWindows 2000 is developed. And the maximum time, which is spent on accessing the Card by user's application program on thread normal priority and thread real time priority through the driver, are gained. Some analyse is made for making the Windows2000 as Operation System of the simulation computer.Third, The time character of HWIL simulation system is analyzed, and the time function of HWIL simulation system is made and tested on Intel X86CPU and Windows 2000. The problem of confirmative time, real time calculation and timer frame timing in windows 2000 are solved. The base is made for making the real-time simulation computer on Windows 2000 and Intel X86 CPU.
