In the last ten years, wireless mobile communications has been developed rapidly in the scope of the seven seas. In the area of personal mobile communications, the requirements of users for service quality and content become more and more. But the mobile spectrum resource is limited, MAI, CCI and multipath fading are the bottlenecks of improving the mobile communications system performance. The tradition techniques can not provide the new way to settle issues, but smart antenna can. It is studied abroadly because of its improving frequency efficiency, increasing the system capability and system performance.The article discusses the performance of adaptive algorithm applying in smart antenna in wireless fading channel. The performance of wireless communication system is mainly restricted by the quality of wireless mobile channel. Its character has directional effect on high quality, more capability in the limited frequency resource. Especially discussing the small scale fading affects the design of digital receiver and selecting the transmitting technique. So the dissertation begins with the theory of smart antenna and the character of wireless mobile communications channel. Firstly, it analyses the basic theory of smart antenna and the temporal optimization weight adaptive algorithm. Then it analyzes the wireless mobile communication propagation environment and gets the characters of timing varying fading channel. After discussing the various spatial vector channel simulation models, it forms the AOA and TOA of multipath fading signals by GBSBEM model. In the fifth chapter, it applys the LMS and RLS algorithms to linear temporal equalizer, narrow array and spatial-temproal filter method, which is combining temporal equalizer and antenna array. By the simulation, it compares their differences in dealing with the fading signals.
