Twin-screw geometry plays an important role in design of twin-screw elements. Research in more human friendly, more flexible and scientific design methodology in twin-screw geometry will significantly improve the modeling level of twin-screw . Traditional design methods include relative motion method, dentiform normal method and envelope method. All these methods are validated by consummate theory but lake geometric intuition. It's difficult for designers to estimate and amend local shape of cross curve.This paper presents a new method for designing cross curve of counter -rotating twin-screw based on three degree quasi-uniform B-spline theory in view of free curve shape theory in CAGD.
