Network intrusion detection system is responsible for protecting the computer network system from receiving the infringement inside and outside. Artificial immune system can protect human body from the infringement, such as bacterium, virus etc, and other infringements of germ outside, so it is a role among human body that similar to network intrusion detection system in computer network system. Though it is different significantly in composition of artificial immune system and intrusion detection system, but the resemblance of their function in each system has brought researcher's attention. And develop a kind of new thinking of improving the security of the computer system. More and more computer security researcher devote apply artificial immunity's thought and working principal in intrusion detection system.I have set up the intrusion detection sub-system based on the artificial immunity through study network intrusion detection system and artificial immunity. This sub-system bases on Self and No-Self in artificial immune system, develop the algorithm's efficiency and legitimacy to the intrusion pattern-recognition. The system is made up of four modules, such as gene library evolution, clone selection, negative selection, immune memory module. The four patterns form an organic integer. Meanwhile, this text also analyses the key technology of this immune system, and finishes the corresponding verification experiment. The result indicates that this algorithm has an ability of invading the mode of better discernment.
