Web database technique is a hotspot of the internet and database techniques. How to publish the database on the Web and realize the access is a valuable project of theoretical investigation and practical application.Present thesis focus on the development and application of the network database and the technique of dynamic exchange. Attempt is made to construct a web database for fatigue and fracture reliability database of engineering materials on the .NET plat.By a comparison of the C/S structure and the B/S structure, eight different web integrated technologies, i.e. CGI, API, ODBC, JDBC, PHP, ASP, JSP, and ASP.NET, are analyzed and, finally, a novel and efficient model is adopted for integration and realization of Web database. The model can be expressed as IIS+ASP.NET +ADO.NET+SQL Server by applying the benefits of the .NET plat and the ADO.NET data access technique. Using the new model, a web database publishing model is proposed, which is oriented for corporations and enterprises. The web publication of dynamic web pages and other service functions are also provided of this model. Finally, a web database is developed for fatigue and fracture reliability of engineering materials on a basis of synthetically application of the ASP.NET, ADO.NET and SQL Server, and C# language with characters of safe and efficient in service and easy to be controlled and maintained.
