The work of this paper focuses on introducing a novel giantmagnetostrictive material(GMM) which produces significant Braggwavelength shifts in Fiber Bragg grating sensor (FBGs) and a new methodwhich controls thin-film filter and detects the Bragg wavelength offsets offiber Bragg grating(FBG) with microcontroller has been demonstrated . Thereal-time measurements of the strains have been experimented within a FBGstrain sensing system.Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is an optical fiber device of its refractionmodulated period, which makes optical signal coupling in fiber. Its use equalsa reflector of high refection, when it is used to a sensor system, it can checkstrain, temperature, pressure, acceleration, etc. FBGs have all advantages ofgeneral Fiber sensor, such as immunity to interference of electromagnetic, itssmall size, light weight, high accuracy, immunity to EMI and high resistanceto corrosive environments. AS the main device of this experiment , itscharacter has a very importance role. The main technological indexes of the FBG can be listed as follows:1. Wavelength channel:1551.98nm;2. The FBG peak reflectivity:69.2%;3. 3dB linewidth:0.22nm.There are two points in this system design and experiment which includedevice design of strain over FBG and a new method which controls thin-filmfilter and detect the Bragg wavelength offsets of FBG withmicrocontroller .The dissertation consists of six chapters, of which the firstand second chapters are basic research. The third, the forth and fifth chaptersgive an experiment research, The sixth part gives a conclusion. In Chapter 1, in general, explaining character of FBG and application inindustry and agriculture in many respects. In Chapter 2, briefing product of FBG and analyzing character of the...
