The remote sensing technology plays an important role in the future information society and digital earth, which can get the status in quo and dynamic changed disciplinarian, describing the "earth system" in limited time as "earth scale", "nation scale" and "region" scale. With the development and improvement of the remote sensing technology, the number of the remote sensing data acquired has being increased more and more. At the same time the increment of remote sensing data and the improvement of high-resolution bring challenges to analyzing remote sensing data effectively. So it is an important problem for scientists that how to make use of current technologies to acquire useful information from remote sensing data which will service our information construction. Fortunately, Making use of distributed computing and net technology will be a good way to resolve the Gordian knot.The paper will research and discuss on the distributed remote sensing imaging at the main line of "basic theory - method frame -technology implement".Firstly, based on the research on remote sensing imaging, the paper analyzes the current technologies of artificial process and analysis for remote sensing imaging. Moreover. Taking into account the character of the high-resolution image, we propose the processing thought of character unit under the direction of the oriented-object framework. From computing consideration, the whole procedure adapts to the distributed computing based on the analysis for computing type and method.Secondly, some main distributed computing structures are compared based on the analysis for the distributed computing theory. Then we put the registry mechanism into remote sensing imaging under direction of Grid Computing and the high-resolution remote sensing imaging model based on the registry service is proposed. By describing all the resources (including imaging algorithms, image, computing ability, etc) in network into services, the system will be open and managed and used easily.At last, TARIES.NET(Target Recognition Information Extraction System) is built and implemented by making use of the technologies such as java, XML, SOAP, etc and.
