With the rapid development of aviation and aerospace technology, remote sensing technology andcomputer technology, the way human access to the remote sensing image data is increasingly diverse, thetype of remote sensing data is increasingly rich, and now the growth of the amount of remote sensing datais explosive, the level of data amount from GB level to TB level, even the PB level. Such vast amount ofdata has brought great difficulties on the aspects of image fast transfer, storage, management and datasharing, data distribution, there are more prominent difficulties in the storage and use of image data. Theissues raised in this context aimed at giving a better integration and management of the existinghigh-resolution remote sensing image data as well as to provide technical support for high-resolution imagesharing service, and high-performance applications in a distributed environment. Advanced cloudcomputing technology and remote sensing data are combined in this paper to provide a new approach tosolve the management of the massive multi-source heterogeneous image data, the method mentioned aboveis different from other forms of data management model, which has certain advantages in the datamanagement and retrieval efficiency.The thesis first focused on the researching three aspects of background knowledge that closely relatedto the thesis core content, including remote sensing data, the pyramid split model and cloud computing.Departure from the features and functions of each element and then give the core content-A RemoteSensing Data Organization Model Based on Cloud Computing (RSC-DOM).On the basis of deeply analysis of the current status of remote sensing image data management, with adetailed analysis of the key elements of the cloud computing environment, A concept about Virtual DiskSpace (VDS) is adopted to meet the requirement that using direct addressing method in distributed storageenvironment. The distributed storage architecture, VDS file architecture in cloud computing are analyzed,and remote sensing storage architecture is built.Finally the model is applied to a cloud storage sub-platform which belongs to a massive multi-sourceheterogeneous spatial data storage and management platform, the platform can solve the question about fastaccess the massive spatial data and model information in a distributed environment. Experimental results show that the proposed model is convenient to search, and its efficacy is greater than the traditional Oraclemanagement style.
