The Research And Realization Of Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation

The structure and algorithm characteristic of Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation are analyzed in detail in this paper. For a special structure of coded modulation and demodulated decoding, the most appropriate interleaving approach is picked out based on the compare of performance in different interleaving method and length. The structure of coded modulation is simplified, the traditional MAX-LOG-MAP algorithm used in demodulated decoding is optimized in a further way, then the disadvantage such as high complexity, long time delay and huge store space is conquered. Finally, the algorithm of coded modulation and demodulated decoding is implemented in DSP of TMS320VC5402 produced by TI. A DSP experimentation platform is built up aided by PC and the whole performance of the Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation is tested. The results show that this system satisfies the requirement of middle and high speed digital communication system and has certain reference value to engineering application.
