A novel wavelet is provided in this paper. The Wavelet Transform-Based ECG Characteristics is discussed. Abundance information about human's heart is included the QRS waves in electrocardiogram, which provides important meaning for clinic diagnoses. With the development of information technology more and more skills are used in the signal analysis. ECG signal includes not only 50Hz power line interferes, muscle noise, but also motion noise. So, it is very difficult to denoise and recognize the ECG signal series. In the paper, the ECG characteristics detection process are discussed in two ways.1) The Least-Square Wavelet Transform: a novel wavelet — the least-square is provided, which is used to denoise the ECG signal series, with the help of it, a higher correct rate in the ECG characteristics detection can be gotten.2) The strategies used in the Electrograph Characteristics Detection: a set of strategies that used in the wavelet based ECG characteristics detection is setup.1) These strategies can give prominence to the QRS complex and applicable for the noise area. With these strategies, we can denoise and allocate the precise position of the QRS complex. The detection rate of QRS complex is above 99.9% for the MIT/BIH database.
