Research And Realize About Cache Optimize Based On The Squid Proxy Server

With the fast development of network technology, more and more application are realized by network in educational fields. The abundance internet applications bring about enormous challenge for the systems offering applying service. The scale of school network is increasing, the number of users is generally extending, and the press of school network is more and more toughness. School network is belong to cernet, and the check point between the cernet and public network has always existed, so many schools add another private network for public network, in order to solve the problem of slower speed which user access public network. I work in network and information center of Guangdong University of Technology. I have researched the applying system of school proxy server during my work and the requirement of the proxy server., I manage to improve the rapid of school proxy server by analyze the needs of proxy server, and the user in school gain a faster speed and higher efficiency.During the work of doing my paper, I have done a detailed research for the application of proxy server. I researched the proxy server system which being added another export for user to obtain a more accessing speed according to the condition of school network and considering "simpleness economy and practicability". Considering the characteristic of multi-campus, enormous users and paroxysmal in GDUT's network, I have given my opinion on selecting the hardware, Operate system of FreeBSD, and the software of Squid proxy. I introduce the kernel and cache Squid optimization of the system, and the application of Cache_peer technology. In real condition, I use the combination of loading balance technology based on DNS and dnsserver, adapting the whole cluster proxy servers' loading by this. From one single proxy server to the cluster proxy servers, the performances of the school network are improved by this way.School network proxy servers will be worked with higher efficiency by using the technology I have offered, the capacity of school network will increasing and user can gain a better service too, and this will help the development of school information build.
