This paper carries out a research about informatization of small/middle sized enterprise and develops a Web Service based system abou the integration of the field information. This system is applied to Tangshan Steel Group Co LTD. Based on this information system, the integration of the field information in the Internet is studyed, including key technologies of supporting the system, the design of the main framework of the system, the interoperability with legacy OPC-DA system, and the other problems about enterprise integration. This integrated information system is based on B/S structure and integrates the major functions of other application systems. OPC, XML and Web Service are used in building the system to extend the functionality in the traditional supervisory control system. They promote the effect of the system and solve the problems about the inconsistent data format and software interface in the levels of management, office automation and supervisory control. At the same time the system forms the foundation of remote monitoring and diagnosing, and then enhances the function of e-commerce.The major studies and works concentrate on the following list:1. The key technologies oriented to enterprise integration are studied, including XML data exchange, OPC-based device data acquisition and Web Service.2. For realizing the interoperability between OPC-DA and XML-DA system, XML-DA gateway is designed and a system model based on the gateway is provided. And so the cost of updating the system is reduced by using the model.3. According as the N-layers model of B/S, an enterprise integration application framework based on Web Service is provided, so the field information can be shared seamlessly in the enterprise or among the enterprises.
