With the generalization and development of network technology , the problem of network security are more and more concerned by people , many kinds of network security product are occurred by time ,such as firewall technology and IDS technology are widely used to solve this problem .Isolated gap technology is a kind of new network security product which is developed recent years ,it can provide a huge fissure between the untrustworthy network and trusted network , it can resist many kinds of attacking methods , the technology used in GAP are included as follows : the recovery of the packet data , protocol transforming ,cipher technology , IDS, filter of virus and keyword , identification and authentication , and so on . GAP is a system combined with hardware and software , the article provide the method of hardware in detail .The core of the hardware platform are two pieces of PCI device , they communicate with outside server and inside server respectively , a piece of FPGA is the core and soul of the PCI device , we depend it to realize the date process and control ,thus ,the article mainly introduce the implementation of FPGA in GAP technology.First of all ,the article introduces the presentation of network security and its relevant products , then give the distinguishing between the GAP and other products of Network security . Secondly , the outline of the hardware platform of GAP is introduced .Thirdly , the article pays particular attention to the following three parts: Data signature module , Data encrypting module, and PCI interface module ; Finally , the results of the testing done to the device under the environment of X86 and PPC is analyzed respectively.
