Extreme Programming And Its Application In Optimized Planning Software Developing

Extreme Programming (XP) is a new, lightweight software developing approach appeared in recent years. It is fit for the small or medium project. XP uses rapid feedback and high-bandwidth communication to maximize delivered value, via an on-site customer, a particular planning approach, and constant testing.The paper firstly introduces the actuality of software engineering and the characteristic of traditional software developing method, and then introduces the basic approaches of XP and related tools. On the basis of the knowledge, the paper applies XP method to the optimized planning software of BaoSteel cold-rolling mill and gives the design scheme of software system. In the implementing process of optimized planning software, the paper especially discusses automatic unit testing and automatic building in the software coding, and presents the two function modules of optimized planning software system — the module ofproducing plan and the module of virtual producing and the running status of software system. At the last of paper, the paper summarizes the research work and expects the next work.
