The Application Of Data Warehousing In Student Score Analysis System

With the development of information, large exponent ascend of information capacitymake the traditional database retrieval query mechanism and statistics analysis methods cannot meet the need of reality. Under this background, data warehouse and data analysistechnique emerge as the times require. Data analysis methods were put forward and whichmade people have ability to know the genuine value of data, namely the knowledge andinformation stored in data. Therefore, the researches of data analysis and data warehouse havecombined for exclusive decision service. So data warehouse and it's related techniquesnaturally become the hot point in the information academic field. Firstly, after the background, contents and meaning of this paper is introduced, the currentsituation of data warehouse research and on-line analytical processing technique, includingtheir research contents, common ways and development trend are dissertated. Secondly, the development principle of data warehouse is studied, mainly including thesystem architecture, data organization and development process. Then the model designtechniques in the development of data warehouse are introduced in detail, and the merit andshortcoming of model design techniques, concept model, logical model and physical model isanalyzed. Thirdly, the design principle, methods, general frame and model design of student scoreanalysis system based on data warehouse technique is analyzed. Finally, a student score analysis system based on data warehouse is designed from theconstruction of data warehouse data-base and multidimensional data set.
