Remote-sensing images have found wide applications in human life and military affairs, so the image coding technologies suitable for various requirements are of great practical significance. Different applications need the suitable coding algorithms to satisfy the special requirements. The optics imaging elements of the LASIS (Large aperture static imaging spectrometry) in 863 projects is analyzed deeply. The compression coding is an image sequence compression method with low memory, which utilizes the matching algorithm in the wavelet domain to remove the redundancy between the two successive frames; Aim at protecting the spectrum information in the LASIS image, a self-adaptive rate-distortion slop lifting ROI coding algorithm is proposed., in which the lifting procedure is carried out in code stream organization stage. As a result, the low coding efficiency situation due to the nature of the bitplane shift methods could be improved. The experimental results have been proved to be encouraging. It is suitable for easier hardware implementation with the low cost in storage and coding delay.
