Reverse Engineering(RE) is a advanced technology that is used for product developing and free face measuring, . In the dissertation a study of computer auto control system and a kind of tracking and measurement method of the commercial 3D laser scanning system..By expatiating the context of the question for discussing problem and application status of RE, aiming at these disadvantages such as slow scanning, low-rise degree of automatization and the motion of the head of camera can't response the curvature of free face, the paper put forward a non-contect laser complete automatization and tracking and measurement system.By analyzing the working theory of the system, considering real time, reliability, opening, a set of hardware system of RE control system which comprises industry PC and a few control cards is put forward in this dissertation. As the key of the computer control system, software based on motion controllers is discussed in details. The functional modules of the scanning system are analyzed and accomplished. As a important part of the 3D scanning system, a kind of tracking and measurement idea is developed in the paper, which based on the gained points dopes out the trend of the next free face to adjust the height of the Z axis to insure the model inside depth of field of camera lens. Analyses a application instance of the scanning system combines the method of tracking and measurement.The results of the experiment of the control system and tracking and measurement system are presented. The precept accords with the demand of the scanning system . At the end of the dissertation, the critical areas needing further research are pointed out.
