TETRA digital trunking communications standard is a kind of wireless trunking mobile communications system based on TDMA technology , The standard builds upon the lessons and techniques of previous analogue Trunked radio systems and the successful development of GSM. TETRA system a single standard-based open system designed by ETSI in conjunction with user organizations, manufacturers, testing and government authorities to satisfy the mobile communications needs of the specialized institutions in all the European countries. The TETRA digital trunking communications system is able to provide command, dispatch, data transmission and telephone services, capable not only of multi-group dispatch, but also of providing short data message service, packet data service and digitized full duplex mobile telephone service. The TETRA system also supports powerful DMO mode and enables authentication, air interface encryption and end-to-end encryption. Meanwhile, the system also acts as a VPN, enabling a physical network to serve multiple independent organizations. Thanks to the TETRA system' s rich service functions, higher efficiency in frequency use, high communications quality and flexible network modes, many new applications (such as vehicle positioning, image transmission, mobile Internet, database inquiry, etc.) can be made possible in the TETRA system.The TETRA is one of the standards of Chinese digital trunk communications recommend by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII). It can provide a series of new service, which analog one doesn't support, include in voice, date and massage for DMO and groups, by which the quality of communication is large improved. To the analog trunking technique, TETRA digital trunking system will be a great advancement. The paper is arranged as follows. First, it introduces the corresponding knowledge and technical roadmap of digital trunking system. Then, analyzing the Arachitecture of the software in TETRA Mobile radio, and most focusing on the subscriber software design for the TETRA Sync Acquisition. At last, summarizing the design and the implementation in this dissertation.
