Based on previous research works of structure optimization design, assimilating the benefits in the developments of the SOGA software, from the practical need of engineering application, this paper researched a new design idea of a structure optimization software. The idea used module thinking in software design, as makes it very easy that the extended functions of SOGA is extended. In order to decrease the scale of optimal constraints, SOGA adopted the method of enveloping to normalize variables and functions and enveloping function, so the number of constraints greatly decreases and the efficiency of computing has greatly improved. In this paper, the standardization module and brainpower of the optimization software are studied, the module structure of SOGA is built and the important function of every module is defined. SOGA will be a completely independent software because of using the design idea. SOGA is a special optimize software and need be helped to complete structure analyze by finity element analyze software. SOGA has the connection for finity element analyze software. The practice proved the superiority of the new idea in engineering.
