In recent years, the incident of bank note being hijacked happened frequently, this seriously affect the seciety safy and make the bank suffer severe lossing.So in order to reduce the bank tossing, based on the exclusive characteristic of bank note number, memorized the bank note number before put the bank note into the storeroorn,simultaneity in the currency market offer an equipment which can automationly recognize the bank note number.At a result, if the current currency bank note number is accord with the bssing ,then restrict the use and it is propitious to the detection of hijacked accident.The paper designs the bank note number recognizing system based on DSP ,and accomplished the device. The research of the system is mainly divided two parts: the image of bank note number acquiring and recognizing. The image acquiring is made of four departs:(l)audio input;(2)audio decode;(3)image buffer;(4)image acquired.And iamge recongnizing is made of two parts:(l)image recongnized ;(2)the result display.The system uses DSP, MCU (Microcontrol Unit) and CPLD (Complex Programable Logic Device) as the core of the system hardware and uses digital video technology. The system can accomplish exchanging video signal input from camera into digital images and data processing. On communicating, using asynchronism serial to complete data communication with PC. Connecting the image inputting part and DSP system with PC to become a exptoering system, endly finishes the bank note number iamge acquiring and recognizing, and displays the results on PC moreover accompletes the system running out of PC.The paper mainly finishes the hardware desigening and debugging,and the degugging of bank note number algorithm base on DSP.Integral notion of system design is brought out at the beginning of the text. Secondly, detail technical information of module design is narrated in each chapter. At last part of paper, some problems encountered in system debugging and method on resolving these problems are brought out, and some suggestions for system optimization are also provided.
