Research and development of ASOS (Application Specific Operating System) in the industrial control field were carried out in this paper.With the development of computer, control, communication and network, FieldBus technology has got fast development .FCS (Field Control System) has more advantages than DCS (Distributed Control System) in many aspects. RTOS is becoming the key point of control system. (Real-time Embedded Operating System)This subject is based on the FCS and RTOS; a new control system is applied on the spot—ASOS. A board named UP-44B0X is selected for hardware. UP-44B0X is a board adopted 32 ARM one-chip computer of SAMSUNGS3C44B0 core. It is very suitable for the development of the embedded products. μC/OS-II is selected as operation system. μC/OS-II, The Real-Time Kernel is a highly portable, ROMable, very scalable, preemptive real-time, multitasking kernel (RTOS) for microprocessors and microcontrollers. uC/OS-II is suitable for safety critical systems and has been applicant in many respects successfully. Bootloader is implemented, uC/OS-II run on UP-44B0X, Application program is completed. The whole works include selecting CPU, setting up the hardware platform, compiling bottom software and application program and debugging.Study shown: the system based on UP-44B0X and μC/OS-II has reached the designing requirement in flexibility, operating and dependability. Through the CAN bus, the FCS is completed. The further study is that through Internet, the system can be controlled remotely, that is embedded Internet.
