This dissertation comes from national 863 program. BP compound pipe is a new kind of pipes, whose manufactory techniques is very unique and novel. At present, there is not yet a solution of process automatic control for it at home and abroad. Based on its manufacturing techniques and situation, a manufacturing automatic control system based on Omron PLC is designed in this article. The result is satisfactory. The time delay in the process of the temperature control of the heating stove will bring up the disability of the control system, which is also researched and discussed in the article. The time delay is widely existed in the modern industrial process. It has the negative effects on the control performance of the system, especially when delay time is large. When this happens, the regular PID control method does not work very well. It will cause the disability of the system worse. Therefore, how to improve the control quality of the system with delay time has been studied by many scholars and experts.Theoretically, Smith predictor can solve the problem of compensating the time delay of the control system. However, Smith predictor is highly sensitive to the mismatching between the process model and real process .And its robustness isn't strong. Fuzzy control has an advantage of being robust, but it can not compensate the time delay theoretically. This dissertation aims at developing the advanced Smith predictor based on the fuzzy control strategy. The simulation is done about the application of the fuzzy Smith method to the temperature control of the BP pipe's heating stove.
