In order to increase the detecting level of water treatment using ozone and optimizing production process, based on analyzing state of arts on detecting technique for ozone in water, some problems on controlled potential electrochemical sensor for ozone in water are studied in the dissertation.Firstly, the selection of schemes is discussed in this paper. The principle and applied range of four sensors are introduced, which including two electrode (gold and copper), ORP sensor, modular sensor and controlled potential electrochemical sensor. Among them, the metal electrode controlled potential sensor is a new type electrochemistry sensor suiting for on-line detecting ozone in water.The characteristics of sensor are directly decided by controlled potential for sensor, including the kinds of substance and the anti-jamming to impurity in solution. So, it is very important for selecting an controlled potential exactly and steadily. Cyclic voltammetry curve, polarization curve and current responding curve versus different potential are obtained with MCP-1 type potentiostat.By integrated analysis of curves, when controlled potential is selected at 0.50V, the current responding of the sensor has a better linearity and higher sensitiveness.Moreover, the potential controlling circuit and signal measuring circuit are designed and applied in controlling potential and processing the output signal of the sensor. Compared with the curve of TIZ-OEM type ozone analyzer, the results demonstrated that sensor working with control and measuring circuit has a fast response and a good linearity because of precise choose of controlling potential and high precision for 1mV.In general, controlled potential electrochemical sensor for ozone is studied to realize detecting for ozone in water by adopting the appropriate controlled potential and control and measuring circuit. At the mean time, it has a fast response, high sensitivity, convenient maintenance and longevity. The sensor is very perspective.
