Research And Implementation On CDMA Wireless Access Technology

Though the standardization of Wireless Access Technology is not long, it has been developing rapidly and has been more and more important inWireless Communication field. CDMA Wireless Access Technology will be definitely widely used in the Mobile Communication Systems of the 3rd generation because of its outstanding merits comparing to others. CDMA Terminal Wireless Access Module is the core of the CDMA Terminal Equipment. It realizes the functions such as calling, transimitting /receving short messages and accessing Internet and so on. Although there are many national CDMA Terminal Equipment manufacturers at present, most of them utilize the ready-made modules from abroad. Developing CDMA Terminal Wireless Access Module in possession of own knowledge property right can reduce the cost and improve the technical level of the terminal production and catch up with the international advanced level.In the paper, we present some key standards and development of Wireless Access Technology. Here CDMA Wireless Access Technology is placed emphasis on, including the principles of technology and the configurations of the system and etc. Then the developmental course of IS-95 standards, forward channel and reverse channel, and calling flow charts are also briefly shown. Based on this, it put forward a system design of CDMA Terminal Wireless Access Module.The theories and demonstration of the design are discussed in detail. And link budget analyses are used to budget the performance of the Module. At the same time the results are compared with requirements of IS-95 standards. Moreover, the general structure and flow chart of the Module software are all introduced. Finally, the feasibility and correction of system design have been verified through the debugging and test.
