A Study On The Security Performance Test Of Firewall Products

The security performance test of firewall that is the product widely used in the network securirty got off to a late start,fell behind the development of firewall techniques.The author firstly introduces the fundamental principle and some shortcomings of the TCP/IP network in this thesis,simultaneously presents the main technical types of the firewall,detailedly describes the principle of the packet filter.The author advances the safety test requirements of the firewall through analyzes the firewall's national standards,puts forward the method of safety test and main test items.The writer makes thorough study on the principle and algorithm of network attack softwares,presents the apply in firewall safety test.The author designes the simulate network enviroment according to the mainly technical types of the packet filter.Finally,by the limit of these experment method,the author raises the necessarity and feasibility to set up the system of testing and evaluation to the firewall safety test in view of studying the principle of network attack.
