As one of the greatest technological revolutions in 20th century, Internet has entered people's daily life with an unbelievably speed and has quietly changed the social life. Internet just like a stage, there will hold variously of dramas. When people changed their identity and take new roles to act in the drama, they will get full-new feeling. Role is an important concept during the course of the Computer- Mediated- Communication. As we all know, the character of Internet is fictitious and double-acting. Because of this, role is complex and alternative. In the social relations, role means the position in society. On the basis of analyzing the performance with the Computer- Mediated-Communication, the thesis further contrast the Internet roles with the social roles. The Internet roles have many difficulties from the social ones. So, many contradictions occurred. Considering this, we can draw a conclusion that the Internet roles may bring many effects to the social roles action.There are many factors that leads to the changing of the roles. The online identity, unveiling various types of roles citizens play on the Internet and examining their significance respectively, thus approaching at a new level the value of the subjects in the Internet community. In order to prove the opinion, the thesis used the theory of role theory, communication theory, performance theory, and so on.
